Why Snabb exists

I built Snabb because too much studying disappears too fast.

Most learning tools either focus on storing information or generating more of it. I wanted a tool centered on keeping important ideas active in memory and making daily review easier to sustain.

The problem was not access to information. The problem was that useful ideas kept falling out of reach after I read them, watched them, or took notes on them.

Spaced repetition solved part of that. It gave review a structure and better timing. But a lot of tools around it still felt fragmented: one place for notes, another for cards, another for explanation, another for source material, and too much friction between them.

Snabb is an attempt to make that loop tighter. Source material comes in, cards come out, reviews happen on schedule, and when a card is weak or confusing, you can improve it right there instead of losing momentum.

The principles behind the product

These are the product constraints that matter more than adding more features.

Review timing matters more than intensity

Most people do not need more study hours. They need a better moment to revisit what they already learned, before it fades completely.

A study system should feel simple

Open a deck, see what is due, and continue. The product should reduce decision fatigue, not add another layer of organization work.

AI should assist, not take over

AI is useful for turning rough material into first drafts, explaining hard concepts, and improving weak cards. It should not replace the learner's judgment.

Memory is part of thinking

If important ideas keep slipping away, it becomes harder to build on them. Strong recall changes how deeply you can work with a subject.

Tools should support consistency

The best study app is the one you will actually return to. That means low friction, clear decks, and a review flow that feels manageable every day.

Understanding and recall belong together

Flashcards are more useful when you can ask follow-up questions, fix weak wording, and improve cards while the confusion is still fresh.

If this way of learning matches how you think, start with one deck.

Add a few cards, review what is due, and let the system build from there.
